Indian Cricket team makes to ICC Champions Trophy finals for the fourth time by defeating Bangladesh. India winning the toss invited the Bangladesh to bat first, Bangladesh made a decent total of 264 with loss of 7 wickets and later Indian team with just loss of Shikar Dhawan wicket chased the total. This semifinal match between Bangladesh and India entertained audiences with some beautiful batting performances by both the teams.
Bangladesh batting first lost two wickets, one being the opener Soumya Sarkar and later Sabbir Rahaman with in span of 31 runs. Even the loss of two wicket didn’t pull down the spirit of Bangladesh batsmen didnt come down. Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim led the batting attack very strongly and gave a 123 run partnership, where Tamim made 70 runs and Rahim made 61 runs. Their batting attack smashed every Indian bowler and looked like they were about to make more than 300. When all the main bowlers were failing to get the break through, it is Jadav who got out both the batsmen. After which, Bumrah, Bhuvaneswar and Jadeja finished the game. Apart from those two batsmen, rest of the batsmen some how tried to contribute a little and pushed the total to 264.
India in process of chasing 264 total looked no mood to fumble. The openers Shikar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma just played away the Bangladesh with ease. Shikar Dhawan at 46 runs tried to hit over and got out, but the way he conducted the attack was fabulous. Shikar though got out early, took away the confidence of Bangladesh team to win. Later Rohit and Virat finished the game with their fantastic partnership of 178. Once again Rohit Sharma displayed his composed innings where he made 123 runs. This innings of him defined the most successful approach for young players to analyze on how to win matches for your team. Virat, once again displayed his classic touch by making a valuable 96 runs to win match for India. Though Bangladesh lost match they played some good cricket. I would say just a bad day for their bowlers, but this would help to gain new confidence to carry on further.
Now, Once again cricket lovers got a opportunity to watch India-Pakistan Match that too in finals of ICC Champions Trophy. Lets hope for some fantastic and entertaining match.
