While Hardik Pandya, the batsman, has not conveyed since the last few matches of the India versus Australia arrangement till the finish of the India versus New Zealand ODI and Twenty20 arrangement, Pandya, the defender, has barely put a foot off-base.
A similar attribute was in plain view as Virat Kohli-drove side held its nerve and beat Kane Williamson and co. in an exciting eight-over finale of the Twenty20 arrangement. While the New Zealand bowlers confined India to 67/5, India effectively shielded the aggregate and won the match at the Greenfield International Stadium by 6 races to win the three-coordinate Twenty20 arrangement 2-1.
While Indian bowlers, particularly Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal, were the champion entertainers, India handled splendidly to forbid New Zealand a simple entry of play. While Rohit Sharma took a screamer to ask hazardous Colin Munro to take a hike, Hardik Pandya contributed with two splendid run outs to hold New Zealand under tight restraints.
To begin with, he finished Williamson’s innings on the third wad of the fifth over. Pandya kept running in from mid-wicket, grabbed the ball and with an immediate hit, got the New Zealand well shy of his wrinkle.
